With extensive vocational experience in Development, Community Relations, Management, Marketing and Sales, Sheila is a highly motivated individual seeking to make a difference in this community and beyond.
After graduating from Kalamazoo College, Sheila achieved an MBA from UM-Flint. She was accepted to the BEST Non-profit Leadership Institute, December 2013 expected graduation, and is also in the process of pursuing a CFRM from Indiana University.
Currently, Sheila is Sales Manager for Flint & Genesee Convention & Visitors Bureau, which is under the umbrella of Flint & Genesee Chamber of Commerce. She promotes overnight visitors to “See What’s Possible,” via conferences and activities. By collaboration and developing lasting partnerships, Sheila strives to impact positive growth and, thus, success for Flint and Genesee County.
As Past President of Sales and Marketing Executives, some of Sheila’s volunteer activities include: FIA Founders Society Board Vice President, FIA Gala Committee, and UM – Flint School of Management Advisory Board.
A Flint native and advocate for the previous International Institute, Sheila’s goals coincide with the International Affairs Center . . . “Making this world better by helping others."
